FOR ONE AND ALL: INDIA’S OWN SOLAR VILLAGE

Any new innovation is taken to be a success only when it solves a recurring problem successfully. It does not matter if the plan is too good or if it seems practical enough. It has to prove its worth through service to the ones who need it the most. In a country like India, we face some basic problems which should have been done away with decades ago. Since that did not happen, any new development has to take care of it now. In our country, it is common knowledge that many villages still do not have any access to a basic need like electricity. Read about one such village in this article from Bengal Sun Solar Energy Pvt. Ltd.

In the village of Pandri in the district of Purulia in West Bengal, electricity streamed through after decades of darkness. What was more is that this light was produced with the help of solar energy. Pandri became the first village in the country to evolve as a decentralized solar powered village. This came as a pleasant surprise for over eighty households which had had to survive on fossil fuels for so long. So, this new innovation not only saved the village from relative darkness, it was also instrumental in doing away with the use of fossil fuels, which happens to be the need of the hour. We, at Bengal Sun Solar Energy Pvt. Ltd. hope that many other less privileged villages will get a similar kind of treatment from solar energy.
